Brian Wilson agrees with Dodgers
Unbelievable… I did not expect that B-Willie would resign with the Giants because there is no way that Sabean would shell out that kind of money on Wilson’s fragile arm. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are spending more and more. They sign Wilson to a 1-year deal worth $10 Million PLUS incentives and a player option for a second year (based on performance) at about $9-$10 Million.
According to the report from espn.com, Wilson went 2-1 with a 0.66 ERA in 18 games as a setup man to Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen this past season after coming back from his second Tommy John surgery and told the Dodgers he’d be willing to return as a setup man with an opportunity to take over as closer if Jansen falters or gets hurt.
