Jason Witten and the Dallas Cowboys are going up against a Chicago Bears team that is not what it used to be defensively with all their injuries to key defenders. Witten has been shaky and inconsistent at best but is due for a breakout day. Considering that McCown will be starting for the injured Cutler and the fact that he has put up back to back 350+ yard games, it should be a shootout and Witten will be involved.
According to my fantasy football league, hosted by Yahoo, Julius Thomas (knee) was upgraded to “full” in Thursday’s practice. This means that unless there a setback with his sprained knee, he will be playing in week 14. The Denver Broncos are playing the Tennessee Titans in Denver which means the cold Rockies whether will be the only thing between Thomas and the end zone. Add the fact that he could be out of game shape after sitting out the last 2 weeks and Orange Julius should be good for no more than 50 yards but you may get lucky and a short yardage TD may be included.
Vernon Davis, oh how I love thee. Unfortunately, you have a horrible matchup with the Superbowl bound Seattle Seahawks coming to town. Davis will have limited points on a frustating day that will see a lot of defensive stops.
Martellus Bennett is a good tight end on a pass happy Chicago Bears team. Unfortunately for Bennett, he has not seen the ball much and is the 4th offensive option on a field that boasts Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffries and Matt Forte. Also, since putting up double digit fantasy points in the first two weeks of the season which included 3 TDs, he has only pulled in 2 TDs since.
