Kirk Cousins – Even after last week’s performance (27.24 PTS), he is still only owned in 17% of Yahoo Leagues. If anyone is questioning their QB’s ability or their QB has a tough matchup in this Championship week for Fantasy Football, you should pickup and start Cousins. He is facing a horrible Dallas Defense and should put up 30+ PTS.
Jay Cutler – Cutler had a successful return to action on Sunday against Cleveland. Though he started rough and gave up two interceptions he was able to throw for 3 touchdowns and the win (22.70 PTS). This week, he goes up against a weaker defense in Philadelphia. Expect a high scoring affair. He is still only owned in 51% of Yahoo Leagues so you have a 50/50 chance of getting him if needed.
Jordan Todman – Todman is the backup running back to Maurice Jones-Drew who was inactive due to a hamstring injury. Todman rushed for 109 yards on 25 carries in Jacksonville’s Week 15, 27-20 loss to the Bills. If MJD is still unable to go in week 16, Jordan Todman would be a sure bet against Tennessee. The Titans have given up the 2nd most fantasy points to Running Backs this season. Todman is only owned in 25% of Yahoo Leagues.
Anthony Dixon – Normally, I would not suggest a 4th-string running back at any time but if you want a stretch pick. Anthony Dixon of the San Francisco 49ers may put up some points this week. Fullback Bruce Miller is out with a shoulder injury and Dixon typically is the backup fullback. There are a few plays that are drawn up for the fullback which Dixon would get as well as some short yardage gainers, specifically goal line carries. He may give you 35 Rush/YDS and a TD plus another 25 Pass/YDS and a TD (18.00 PTS). Dixon is owned in 0% of Yahoo Leagues.
Andre Caldwell – This 5th-string receiver on a powerhouse offense is the last player you would consider. Caldwell put up 69 yards and 2TDs (17.90 PTS). Peyton made it look like Caldwell was the only receiver on the field when they were in the red zone. He was used as the slot receiver, duties typically handled by Wes Welker but he was out with a concussion. Welker has not been cleared yet and if he misses another game, Caldwell would be a great pickup who is only owned in 4% of Yahoo Leagues.
Michael Crabtree – Michael Crabtree caught five balls for 45 yards including his first TD of the season (10.50 PTS) in the 49ers’ Week 15 win over the Bucs. It is obvious that he is only getting stronger as the weeks go by. In week 16, Crabtree and the San Francisco 49ers will host Atlanta Falcons in the last home game at Candlestick Park. It will be an emotional day for all, especially us fans but what the best part of it is that we will go out with a bang. The offense will have a field day against Atlanta which will include Crabtree going for over 100 YDS and a touchdown. Owned in 58% of Yahoo Leagues.
Detroit – The Lions will be motivated to win and win big. They have no choice, if they lose, they are out of playoff contention. The Lions will be working extra hard on defense to give themselves every chance possible but lets face it, Eli Manning will happily help them. The interception leader (25) this year will surely add another 2-3 to the count. Owned in 23% of Yahoo Leagues.
Cleveland – The Browns are facing the New York Jets. They have shown that their defense is strong and is capable of creating turnovers. I also find it convenient that they are going up against rookie Quarterback Geno Smith is second in interceptions (21) to only Eli Manning (25), who ironically shares a stadium… just coincidence or are they cursed? Owned in 36% of Yahoo Leagues.
Michael Hoomanawanui – A very thin cast of receivers for Tom Brady equates to extra looks to the big man in the middle. Hoomanawanui only caught one pass for 13 yards, but it was for a TD and at the end of the game, Brady targeted him again but slightly overthrew the ball. He is not going to get a lot of targets or looks but may put up some points in the red zone because of his size and lack of options. Owned in 0% of Yahoo Leagues.
Andrew Quarless – Umm, Dejavu? Quarless has become one of Matt Flynn’s favorite targets in the last few weeks. He has put up identical numbers in week 14/15: 6/66/1 (12.60 PTS). Not bad if you are looking for added help at the TE or Flex position. Green Bay will be facing Pittsburg in week 16 at Lambeau Field and Aaron Rodgers is still not cleared. Expect more of the same from both Matt Flynn and Andrew Quarless. Owned in only 3% of Yahoo Leagues.
Nick Folk – New York Jets kicker is owned in 26% of Yahoo Leagues. Geno Smith sometimes takes opportunities away from Folk by committing turnovers but against Cleveland, he should have plenty of opportunities. Cleveland has a strong defense that should hold them out of the end zone but not enough to keep points off the board. Folk should be good for 3 FGs and 2 XPs (13.00 PTS).
Shayne Graham – Graham is only owned in only 3% of Yahoo Leagues. Graham worked out for the Saints last month when they were browsing free-agent kickers with Garrett Hartley struggling. Hartley never improved and was cut Tuesday. Graham was signed by New Orleans to replace Hartley. He made 31-of-38 field goals for the Texans last season.
